So, I have poison ivy. I don’t know where I picked it up, but it has spread with a vengeance- as it always does. I am equally frustrated and grateful for the experience though, and let me tell you why.
My house is quiet and dark. The kids are asleep after a long day of zoo animals, cousins, and a lot of teething. My son’s clothes were soaked. Today was his first ride in the stroller without the car seat. He looked so small and yet so happy!

It’s been a rough week for this Mama. Is there a sudden burst in hormones as you enter your third trimester?? I’m pretty sure I spent more time crying than not. Sweet L decided to drop naps and wake up an hour earlier in the mornings this week. I still schedule ‘rest time’ during our day, and she is perfectly content to lay in her little bed singing for an hour. The few hours of sleep that she’s missed every day are taking their toll, however. The tantrums and whining have made our home feel like a war zone. Continue reading “The No Good Very Bad Week”

Today’s episode was Madame Blueberry. A heartwarming episode. I always melt during the part where the little girl sings her song: “I thank God for this day, for the sun in the sky, for my Mom and my Dad, and my piece of apple pie.” It’s her birthday, and all she has is a piece of pie.
